It seems Michael Strahan‘s surprise exit from Live! really hurt his friendship with his former co-host, Kelly Ripa.
“At one point I think we were friends. I don’t know what happened at the end. I learned a lot from her, though,” the 44-year-old TV star said of their relationship today in a new interview.

Michael left Live! after four seasons on the show in April to instead join the cast of Good Morning America. Kelly was reportedly not forewarned about her costar’s departure and took time off to “gather [her] thoughts” following his announcement.
“I wasn’t surprised by her reaction at all, but I can’t control somebody else’s actions. I was there four years, and it’s about more than just being in front of the camera,” Michael told People.
